Tri-Layer Upper - This construction offers superior comfort, warmth and allows for variable flex control. The Tri-layer process uses three separate layers sandwiched together, and produces the most waterproof, durable and supportive uppers available. Web System - An advanced external and internal support system that provides lateral support and helps stabilize the ankle area. The Web System works with your natural movement, creating pure transmission of energy from foot to your boot. IHS - Integrated into the rear of our boots upper, this support system distributes pressure from the highback throughout the entire boot. The IHS eliminates painful highback bite and provides direct response from your foot to the boards edge. 3D Molded Tongue - All Northwave boots have a 3D molded tongue that was anatomically designed to work with the shape of your leg and foot. This lightweight tongue helps to distribute the ankle strap pressure from bindings evenly, and creates a smooth platform for easy lacing and tightening of the boot. These tongues also feature varying stiffness, which allow for a comfortable flexing boot at any flex rating. 360° Degree Heel Hold Down - An integrated design that works with the external lacing of the boot for total heel lock down. The 360 system eliminates heel lift, creating a smooth and powerful ride. Exterior Lace Lock - This lock divides the tension of lacing, creating a simple way to get your boots laced up correctly right from the start.
