FAQ: Why can't American customers shop in Canadian Currency and vise-versa?

For many of our products, we have to purchase stock for our USA customers from a US supplier, and stock for our Canadian customers from a Canadian supplier. (Even though the items may be identical). This is due to distribution agreements imposed on us by the manufacturers. Wholesale costs are often different in the 2 countries, and our prices are set from these wholesale costs. Shipping and handling costs also vary between the two countries.

Also, many of the products we sell are manufactured overseas. The USA and Canada have different levels of import duties and excise taxes to bring these items into each respective country. We try to make it as easy as possible for our Canadian and our US customers to shop, so our price includes all of these duties and taxes. This can cause prices to be different in the USA and Canada

Therefore, if we are shipping to a USA address, we must charge you in US$, and if we are shipping to a Canadian address, we must charge you in Canadian $.
