Sales & Service Representative

Position Overview: The Sales and Service Representative is responsible for managing all website and mail order product orders from initial customer contact, to order creation, to the receipt of product(s) by our customer. The Sales and Service Representative addresses and resolves any service problems, payment problems, returns and warranty issues related to customer purchases.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior sales and service to all customers
  • Process web orders or mail orders, confirm stock availability, confirm payment options, send orders for pick and pack
  • Take initiative to provide valuable product information to Boardzone customers
  • Identify customer needs for additional Boardzone products to meet or surpass all sales targets and goals
  • Take accountability to efficiently resolve all customer inquiries, concerns and complaints from beginning to end
  • Confirm receipt of sales orders to U.S. UPS warehouse
  • Communicate with U.S. UPS warehouse for any customer problems
  • Process returns and warranty R/As
  • Communicate with Finance department re: day sheets, COD’s, wire transfers, and credits
  • Update customer payment COD and wire transfer spreadsheets
  • Follow up with warehouse re: unprocessed orders and problem orders
  • Communicate to Web Flow Administrator any inventory discrepancies and website malfunctions
  • Willing to take on new initiatives or work overtime when required by business demands



  • Qualifications:
  • Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Previous retail, Call Centre and E-commerce experience or exposure
  • Outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
  • Highly developed professional telephone manner
  • An aptitude for recognizing and creating sales leads
  • Knowledge of snowboard and skateboard products
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision in a fast paced environment while effectively managing multiple tasks
  • Computer skills including excel, data, word processing and e-mail
